Superb food, charming service and a convivial atmosphere! Can't recommend highly enough. The wood-fired meats are smoky heaven
Had dinner for 2 here in the evening. We arrived at this father and son run restaurant, situated in a side street of the main street of Dol the Bretagne. The restaurant is situated in a very old and charming building. The tables are randomly scattered throughout the dining room where the fireplace immediately stands out. We were greeted warmly and even though the restaurant was almost empty, we were lucky enough to get a table as within 15 minutes the entire restaurant was full and bustling. The menu was explained properly, a set menu of 2-3 courses. The food was superb, local produce all well prepared. Especially the protein (had the entrecote), which is cooked over the fire in the fireplace was of great quality. The server was very attentive and made sure the protein was cooked exactly to your liking. We had a lovely dinner and we'll make sure to visit again whenever we visit the area.
Great place, we where welcomed by one of ownes, confortably seated. He took his time to go over the manu and explain how it was prepared. The food was delicious and the service made us feel important with a natural care. 100% recomended. Carlos
Fantastic experience, not just a meal! This is an amazing place, very atmospheric and a wonderful menu. Meat and fish cooked on an open fire. Luckily we booked ahead as we came upon the restaurant on a walk. Recommend booking as they had to turn people away. The waiter is a magician, waiting tables, grilling the food on the fire, serving drinks and chatting to guests. The whole evening was one of the best experiences we’ve had this trip.
A nice stop over for a lunch with a very friendly staff. Just make sure you check the lunch menu that is limited compared to the dinner one.
This place is great. Probably our best meal during our France holiday. Great food, great service. Very accomodating for the children. Merci!
Wonderful father-son run restaurant. Attentive service, the waiter was great. The food is prepared over a wood burning fire, making some of the most delicious dishes we’ve had. My favorite were the scallops (although there are plenty of great options!). Absolutely would recommend this restaurant, it will be a pleasant experience as much from the atmosphere as from the yummy food!
If you fancy a good but reasonable priced dinner come to Le Porsche Au Pain. Lovely!
